01 - Research & Studies

Dr. Sanjay Subbaiah & Jean-Pierre Granier, PhD
ENT Specialist (India) & Research Director (France)

Single-Blind Study: Tomatis Gating System vs. Music Therapy on Brain Networks

Dr. Sanjay Subbaiah will present the analysis of the impact of auditory gating on brain networks, with particular emphasis on the Salience Network. His findings are based on brain imaging (fMRI and EEG) assessments performed before and after a single 14-day Tomatis cycle as part of a groundbreaking single-blind study conducted on 20 healthy volunteers. Jean-Pierre Granier will connect the observed neuroscientific results of this groundbreaking research to the practical application of the Tomatis Method. His presentation will illustrate how the fMRI and EEG findings can inform and enhance daily clinical and therapeutic practice. As the first study to evaluate the Tomatis Method using functional MRI, this research opens new perspectives for our work and represents a major step forward in the recognition of the Tomatis Method.

Dr. Annelize Van Antwerp Bonthuys, PhD
Researcher & Psychologist (South Africa)

Impact of the Tomatis Method on Down Syndrome: A 36-Child Controlled Study

This 2025 research conducted within a specialized educational institution studied 36 children with Down Syndrome divided into three groups: Tomatis, placebo, and control. The primary objective was to evaluate the effects of a three-cycle Tomatis program on learners’ readiness to learn, with particular focus on communication skills, sensory processing, and gross motor abilities.

Irena Brbic
Doctoral Researcher (Croatia)

Neurophysiological Changes in ADHD: A qEEG Study of 30 Adolescents

This doctoral research examines the effects of the Tomatis Method on 30 children diagnosed with ADHD. Using quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) as the primary outcome measure, the study evaluates neurophysiological and language-related changes in brain systems before and after Tomatis auditory stimulation therapy. Includes comparison with a control group from the Human Brain Institute reference database to identify EEG phenotypes associated with ADHD.

02 - Clinical Application

Maude Leroux
Occupational Therapist (USA)

Digging Deeper: Using Tomatis Sound Therapy to Support Sensory and Interoceptive Regulation

This talk explores the deeper clinical application of Tomatis Sound Therapy in supporting sensory modulation, interoceptive processing, and nervous system regulation. Moving beyond introductory concepts, the presentation examines how and why sound-based intervention can influence arousal, body awareness, and emotional regulation, particularly in individuals with sensory integration challenges. Drawing on clinical experience, this session connects auditory stimulation with sensory modulation patterns, interoceptive signaling, and regulatory capacity.

Martha Hernandez Rodriguez
Psychologist (Mexico)

Neuroscience, Pregnancy, and the Tomatis Method

This presentation explores pregnancy and motherhood through a neuroscientific lens, focusing on the profound biological, psychological, and emotional changes within the maternal brain. By integrating scientific evidence with clinical insights, it highlights the role of maternal well-being in shaping fetal neurodevelopment and early bonding. It also presents the parallel benefits of the Tomatis Program in supporting maternal regulation, pregnancy, childbirth, and early infant development.

Weronika Iwanek
Speech Therapist (Poland)

Auditory Regulation as a Foundation of Future-Ready Brains: The Role of the Tomatis Method in an Overstimulated Society

In an overstimulated society, the capacity to regulate attention, emotions, and cognitive load has become a critical determinant of adaptive functioning. This presentation examines auditory regulation as a foundational neurobiological mechanism supporting brain resilience and learning readiness in both children and adults. Drawing on clinical practice and current neuroregulatory frameworks, the session highlights how improved auditory regulation contributes to future-ready brain functions, including cognitive flexibility, emotional balance, and efficient learning in complex sensory environments.

03 - Government & Country-Scale Programs

Alina Georgescu
Psychologist (Romania)

Implementation of the Tomatis Method in a National Government Program to Support Neurodiversity in Romania

Alina will explain why the Tomatis Method was selected as part of this government program to support children with developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other conditions. In total, only 50 Romanian companies were chosen to provide solutions for at least 4,000 children in need in 2026. Alina will also describe how she plans to collect and analyze data in order to present the results of the Tomatis Method intervention to the authorities.

Martha Hernandez Rodriguez
Psychologist (Mexico)

Implementation of the Tomatis Method within DIF: Mexico’s National Social Support System

Martha will present the implementation of the Tomatis Method in 35 Child Development Centers out of the 234 operating in the state of Tamaulipas, as well as the training of 165 therapists. This represents a crucial first step, especially considering that there are more than 2,000 DIF centers across the country. DIF is Mexico’s national organization responsible for providing social and therapeutic support to vulnerable children and adolescents.

Charlotte Davies
Education Specialist (United Kingdom)

How to Implement the Tomatis Method in the School System

This presentation outlines the various steps involved in implementing the Tomatis Method within the school system, as well as the pitfalls to avoid. Charlotte will share her experience in the world of education and in implementing the Method in several schools.

Maria Moel Lundqvist
(New Zealand)

How to Measure the Impact of the Tomatis Method in the School System

Why is integrating the Tomatis Method in the School System a great opportunity for you and your business. This session covers measurement methodologies and strategies for documenting outcomes in educational settings.
